ASNE First Amendment Summit
On Jan. 18, 2007, the American Society of Newspaper Editors [1] (ASNE) convened an emergency summit of 100 newsroom leaders, national security experts, lawyers and others concerned about the compelled disclosure of confidential sources.
The gathering was held at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
